Pitru Dosha Pooja is performed daily in Varanasi. The puja duration is 3 hours. Anyone can perform this puja regardless of their age. We suggest that an elder from the family perform this puja. This puja removes Pitru Shaap and Sthree Shaap. This puja is advisable for those who perform rituals at the wrong time. Pitru Dosha will affect family members in all aspects. Pitru Dosha Puja Dress Code
- For gentlemen, the dress code includes a white dhoti and either a shirt or a kurta paired with pajamas.
- Ladies: saree or salwar kameez.
- Regardless of age group, we kindly request that all devotees refrain from wearing clothing such as T-shirts and jeans.
Pitru Dosha Puja Instructions to Devotees
- One should refrain from consuming non-vegetarian food for three days before the puja.
- You have to stop consuming non-vegetarian food for another eleven days after the puja.
- A woman can perform this puja after the fifth day of her menstrual cycle.
- A husband cannot perform this puja if his wife is pregnant and is in the 6th month or above.
- If there is any death in the family, then this puja can be performed after six months.
- One family member can perform this puja on behalf of the entire family.
- A Brahman can perform this puja on your behalf.
- A pregnant lady can perform this puja before the sixth month of her pregnancy.
- For another forty-one days, you should not accept any kind of offer.
Pitru Dosha Pooja Procedure in Varanasi
For optimal effects, this puja should be performed on an Amavasya day. We offer online puja services for those who are unable to attend the puja. A Brahman can perform these rituals on your behalf. We courier the puja prasadam, if any, to their house address. For this puja, there won’t be any Puja Prasadam offered. Varanasi is one of the Jyotirlinga Kshetra, and performing these kinds of rituals will yield the best results. If the clan fails to perform the rituals promptly, Pitrus will curse them.
