Our Sanskriti & Gyan Temples Pooja, Darshan, and Timings Sathabhishekam Pooja in Hyderabad is performed in a Yagashala. This puja is performed to mark the completion of 79 years and enter the 80th year. This puja is performed to increase longevity. Typically, four to five pandits will be performing this ritual. The puja duration is four to five hours. Their children or relatives will organize this puja. It is time for the couple to move towards spirituality, as they have done with responsibilities. The couple would have completed a thousand full moon days by this time. It is time to celebrate their contributions to family and society.
The word “Satha” means 80 years, and “abhishekam” means pouring water on the couple. Avabrutha Snanam will be performed at the end. The water from the Kalasas will be poured on the couple. This divine water energizes the couple. Mangalya Dharana is optional during Sathabhishekam. Later, the couple will be blessed with Veda Aseervachana.
Sathahishekam will be performed following the husband’s birth star. The English birth calendar date will not be considered for this puja. There are 27 stars in total, and the puja date will be calculated based on the birth star and birth lagna. An astrologer can let you know the puja date after checking the Tara Balam. It is the husband’s birth star that will be considered for this puja. A single woman or man can perform Ayush Homam and Mrityunjaya Homam.
Puja Dress Code
- Gents: dhoti (white) and shirt or kurta and pajama.
- Ladies: saree or salwar kameez.
- Regardless of age group, we kindly request that all devotees refrain from wearing clothing such as T-shirts and jeans.
Sathabhishekam Pooja in Hyderabad
Sathabishekam will be performed in a Yagashala inside the temple. This puja can be performed in a day or two. We reduce the puja duration by adding more pandits. We provide online puja services for those who cannot attend the puja. We courier the puja prasadam to their house address. The puja cost depends on the puja days and the number of pandits performing the ritual. The couple can sit in a chair while performing this puja.
