Thirukadaiyur Temple 60th Marriage: Package Cost and Booking Procedure
This ritual is performed when the male partner completes 60 years and enters the 61st year. It’s similar to renewing marriage vows.
- Shasti means Sixty
- Abtha means year
- and Poorthi means completion.
In Hinduism, the lifetime of a person is stated as 120 years. Half of a period in life is 60 years. This is a memorable and significant turning point in your life.
The Hindu calendar is 60 years long and it repeats after cycle completion. Shasti Poorthi marks the end of one cycle, which is 60 years.
“The Shasti Poorthi should be performed within the first year after checking the birth star and lagna.
“Shasti aptha Poorthi” (Shasti Poorthi) is a Hindu ceremony that celebrates the 60th birthday of the male partner. Performing rituals strengthens Mangalyam and increases life span.
The children of the couple perform at the second wedding as part of the festivities. It is a good reason to have a large family reunion that includes an important moment in the married couple’s life.
