Madurai Meenakshi Temple Marriage Procedure, Hall cost and Booking Procedure

Marriage Timings: Marriage is allowed after 6.00 am.

Marriage Fees: Rs.20,000 (Includes Marriage fees, Purohit charges and Nadaswaram). Pooja articles, Decoration and other services will be charged.

Madurai Meenakshi Temple Marriage Procedure

The Bride must be 18 years and above
The Groom must be 21 years and above
Both Bride and Should be necessarily Hindus
Only arranged marriages are allowed at this Temple
The Marriage Application form can be collected from the temple office by the Bride or Groom’s family.
Inter-religious marriages are not allowed at this temple
Love marriages without parents’ acceptance are not allowed.
Application forms can be collected 2 to 3 weeks in advance.

Bride and Groom’s Aadhar Cards photocopies
Bride parents and Groom parent’s Aadhar Cards photocopies
Unmarried certificate from the Bride and Groom or duly filled application sealed and signed by the Thasildhar/ MRO
The unmarried certificate must be in Tamil or English
Bride and Groom’s Community certificates and TCs are required

Notary stating marriage details and acceptance from the Bride’s parents and Groom’s parents.

Advance booking is required for the Marriage Hall as it happens inside Sannathi.

Marriages are allowed for 1 hour to 2 hours mins max.
Daily 2 to 3 marriages are allowed at Sannathi.
Marriage halls are located outside the temple and are located 2 to 3 Km from the main temple.
No marriages are allowed in the early hours.
