Temple Darshan, Pooja and Sevas Information Infoirmation Website From Thayar’s Sannidhi, one is supposed to go to Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple Tirupati which is at a walkable distance from the railway station. Temple premise is very large. At the entrance of Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple, there is a shrine for MudalAzhwars, Udayavar and various other deities. Opposite to this, there is a shrine for Lord Krishna.
This God here inside the temple is the replica of Chidambaram Divya Desa Perumal. Thayar is Andal. Brahmotsavam is performed in Govindaraja Swamy Temple for 10 days in a year which doesn’t clash with Brahmotsavam performed for other deities.
Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple Tirupati History
When South India was invaded by Muslims, the presiding Perumal of Chidambaram, Sri Govindaraja Swamy was brought and kept safely in Tirupati. After the situation at Chidambaram returned to normalcy, the vigraham of Lord Govindaraja Swamy was taken back from Tirupati.
One day, Sri Ramanuja in his dream had a vision of Lord Govindaraja Swamy, He was advised by Lord to make arrangements for Him to reside in Tirupati. Sri Ramanuja who was already aware about Sri Govindaraja Swamy’s stay in Tirupati during Muslim invasion took the help of the king and went to the place which he saw in his dream. To everyone’s astonishment, they found the vigraham. Sri Ramanuja advised the king to construct a temple for Lord and construct houses for the people doing kainkaryam in the Govindaraja Swamy temple. Later, Udayavar installed Godha Devi and made arrangements for daily Thiruvaaradhanai. Till date, the pooja vidhanams laid down by Udayavar are strictly followed in TIRUMALA and other temples associated with it. Hence, this locality came to be known as Ramanuja puram.
How to reach Sri Govindarja Swamy Temple Tirupati ?
1) From Railway station one can see the temple and is walkable, just 200 feet away.
2) From the Bus station, it is 1 km ( approx) at distance.

Can you please comment of Unjal Seva of Sri Govindaraja Perumal temple, Tirupathi. It is recently listed in ttdsevaonline website for ticket booking for Rs116/- (two allowed).
