Dear Sir,
Sri Kalahasti -> Kanipakam -> Vellore is the right way. Tirupati to Sri Kalahasti takes 1 hour . From Sri Kalahasti you have to reach back to Tirupati . From Tirupati to Kanipakam is the next option which will take 1 hour 30 mins. From Kanipakam , plan to reach Chittoor Bus station which takes 30 mins. From Chittoor to Vellore bus frequency is high which will take 1 hour max.
Direct bus to Tirupati is available from Vellore.
Tiruapti to Sri Kalahast – 1 hour 10 mins + Sri Kalahasti Darshan 30 mins + Sri Kalahasti to Tirupati + 1 hour 10 mins + Tirupati to Kanipakam 1 hour 30 mins + 30 mins for Drashan + 30 mins to Chittor Bus station + Chittoor to Vellore 1 hour + Vellore bus station to Golden temple 30 mins.
If there is any delay in boarding the bus then trip will extend by 2 hours 30 mins.
I will check with private operators today and let you know the details.
Thanks,
