Narayanavanam Temple – Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy  History

Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy and Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru, daughter of Akasha Raju were married here. As the marriage took place in Narayanavaram, Padmavathi’s brother build two Temples; one is here, another in Tirumala to commemorate this occasion. It is one of the few temples where we can see both Venkateswara Swamy along with Padmavathi Devi in one complex. 

Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy  Temple’s – Sub Temples

This Temple has four small shrines of Sri Padmavathi, Andal, Sri Prayaga Madhava swami and Sri Varadaraja Swami. At the entrance in front of the Sanctum is the small Garudalwar Sannidhi. In addition to these, there are five more temples to the main one. These are dedicated to Sri Parasareswara Swami, Sri Veerabadhra Swami, Sri Sakthi Vinayaka Swami, Sri Agatheeswara Swami and Sri Avanakshamma.

Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple Festivals

Annual Brahmotsavam is conducted in the main Venkateswara Temple here as well as in Veerabadhra Swami and Sri Avanakshamma Temples.

Navarathri celebrations are also held in the Avanakshamma Temple.

At the end of Sankranthi every year, Giri Pradakshinam, that is, circumambulation of the Hill, is held and the Utsava moorthis of Sri Parasareswara Swami and Sri Champakavalli Ammavaru, Sri Agatheeswara Swami and Sri Markathavalli Ammavaru are taken in procession.

Other festivals include Andal Neerotsavam, Panguni Uttarotsavam, Varalakshmi Vratham, Theppotsavam ( Float festival) and Anivara Asthanam.

How to reach Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple?

  • Temple is located at a distance of 37 Km from Tirupati and Nearest Railway Station is at Puttur, which is about 5 km.
  • A.P.S.R.T.C Direct buses are available from Tirupati to Narayanavanam Temple
  • A.P.S.R.T.C Buses which goes to Picchattur, Nagalapuram, Utthukotai goes by this route
  • If you are still not able to find buses to these places, Buses to Puttur or Nagari are available at high frequency.
  • You should get down at Puttur Bypass and from Puttur Bypass it is 5 Km to Narayanavanam Temple.

  • Near to Flyover – It is four roads junction on a Highway
  • Straight at Junction is way to Nagari, Tiruttani, ChennaiLeft at Junction will take you Narayanavanam, Picchattur, Nagalapuram, Surutapalli, Utthukotai
  • Right at Junction is way to Puttur

      Dear Madam,

      Kalyanotsavam ticket cost Rs.500. Seva will be performed though out the seva. Please perform seva between 10:30 am – 12 pm as this is the Kalyanotsavam time in Tirumala.

      Dear Sir,
      For Kalyanotsavam at Tirumala here is the procedure

      1. Please login to ttdsevaonline website ,
      2. create one user id.
      3.Check your mailbox for the activation link from ttdsevaonline.
      4. Click on the link to activate the account
      5. Login with your credentials
      6. Enter the mobile number. Check the OTP message.
      7. Enter the OTP number received on the mobile.
      8. Now click on e-seva link over there.
      9. Select Kalyanotsavam ticktets from the drop down menu
      10. Select date and proceed with booking.

      If it is at Narayanavana then you don’t need advance booking. you can walkin to temple to perform kalyanam.

    Sir,

    I want to perform Srivari Kalyanotsvam on 01.01.2017 at Narayanavanam. Hence, it is requested to kindly clarify the following ;
    i) Is there any accommodation available at Narayanavanam to stay with family on 01.01.2017, if so, what would be the cost and the procedure for advance booking.
    ii) Since 1.1.2017 is having Sravana Nakshatram (in the morning hours), can I participate in Abhishekam. If so, what would be the cost and time of performing the Seva.
    iii) Any special sevas are scheduled to be performed on that particular date i.e., on 1.1.2017.

    I shall be grateful if you could convey the above information at the earliest possible.

      advance bookings are not available and timings are 10 am -4pm ,and allowed group of 5 members and ticket cost is 500 rs.

      there is no advance booking for kalyanam and the cost is 500rs, for temple accommodations you can try on your arrival.
