As per the legend, the Tretayugam sage Yadarishi, the son of the great sage Rishyasrunga, and Santa Devi did penance in a cave with the blessings of Anjaneya. Lord Narasimha, a form of Lord Vishnu, manifested himself to him in five different forms: Jwala, Yogananda, Gandabherunda, Ugra, and Lakshminarasimha.

The Skanda Purana, one of the famous 18 Puranas, tells about how this temple came into existence.

Another legend says that Lord Vishnu was happy with YadaRushi’s devotion and sent Sri Anjaneya to guide the rishi to a holy place, where Lord Vishnu appeared to him as Sri Lakshmi Narasimha. The sage offered prayers to the Lord for many years.

After Yadarishi attained moksha, many tribal people came to the temple to worship the Lord because they knew He was there. However, these devotees didn’t know much, so they began worshiping in the wrong way. That’s why Sri Lakshmi Narasimha moved to the hills. The tribes looked for their Lord for many years, but they never found him.

After many years, the Lord appeared in the dreams of a woman from the same time and revealed his whereabouts.

Yadadri Kalyana Mandapam Booking procedure

  • The Bride must be 18 years and above.
  • The Groom must be 21 years and above.
  • The Bride and Groom must be Hindus
  • The Bride and Groom’s Aadhar Cards and SSC Mark Sheet Photocopies required.
  • The bride’s parents’ and groom’s parents’ photo ID proofs are required.
  • At present marriages are not happening on top of hill as it is under construction.
  • Marriages can be performed at the bottom of the hill
  • Marriage registration is not available. The hall manager will only issue a receipt.
  • This receipt can be used for marriage registration in your hometown.
  • Rooms can be booked while booking marriage hall.
  • Other marriage arrangements can be planned after booking the function hall.
  • Catering services, flower decoration, mandap decoration, seating arrangements, pooja articles, bouquets and malas, purohit, photography, video shoots, etc. have to be planned on their own.
  • Hall capacity: 50 to 300 members.
  • Hall Location: Bottom of the hill. 5 to 10 minutes to the hilltop.

  • Bride and Groom’s 10th Mark sheet or Passport Photocopy and Aadhar card Photocopies
  • The bride’s parent’s and groom’s Photo ID proofs
  • Three witnesses along with their photo ID proofs.
