The annual Brahmotsavam of Sri Kapileswara temple, Tirupati, is from February 19-28 with Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam on February 15 and the traditional Ankurarpanam on Feb 18.
Maha Shivaratri will be celebrated on 26 Feb 2025. Rush will be high for Sivaratri Day, and darshan might take 2 hours.
Kapileswara Swamy Temple History
As per the legend, Sage Kapila did penance here for Lord Shiva. Sage Kapila installed the Shiva Linga at this place. Devotees used to take baths before starting their journey to Tirumala. Out of 1008 sacred theerthams in Tirumala, Kapilatheertham is believed to remove previous sins.

Temple Dress Code
Any decent outfit was allowed for darshan. Darshan usually takes 10 to 15 minutes during weekdays. During the weekend, it might take 30 to 40 minutes as devotees from Tirumala get down at Kapileswara Swamy Temple.
The Sheegra Darshan ticket costs Rs. 5 per person.
Note: Please be cautious while carrying milk, food, or other stuff, as monkeys might attack devotees for food. It is better to leave your stuff in the vehicle before entering the temple.
