Tuesday only 4000 devotees are given time slot tokens in one hour and sent for Srivari darshan directly in the allotted time slots.
Devotees in queue lines are also requested to wear masks and also keep sanitising materials with them.
Inspecting the Anti coronavirus initiatives taken by the TTD at VQC 1 and 2 he said the waiting halls in the Vaikuntam queue complex are closed for now in view of Corona threat. Devotees are also advised to wear masks and sanitise their hands.
Anna Prasadam Complex, Kalyanakatta, Srivari temple, CRO, are all being cleaned with disinfectants for every two hours.
EXTENSIVE ARRANGEMENTS BY TTD FOR CAMPAIGN AGAINST CORONA VIRUS
Tirumala, 17 Mar. 20: On directions of TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal and in the supervision of Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, TTD has made systematic and extensive arrangements for tackling the spread of corona Virus at Tirumala.
TIME SLOT FOR TOKENS FOR SRIVARI DARSHAN:
From zero hours of Tuesday, March 17, TTD has commenced the issue of time slot tokens for direct Srivari darshan without any waiting in the Vaikuntam queue complex. TTD set up various counters at Tirumala and Tirupati to issue tokens.
Only 500 devotees were accommodated in each dining hall of Annaprasadam Complex as against normal seating capacity of 1000 for each hall at the rate of two pilgrims per table instead of four. The staff and sevaks wore masks and sanitized their hands at regular intervals while serving Annaprasadam to pilgrims.
Tonsuring is done quickly at all kalyana kattas in Tirumala without any waiting. All barbers have worn masks and used Dettol solutions and the tonsuring halls cleaned up every 2 hours.
All rest houses, cottages, PACs and guesthouses were cleaned up with additional cleaning staff and pilgrims were allowed into rooms, one hour after cleaning.
All thickly populated junctions are cleaned with disinfectants against infectious diseases and sanitizers.
Awareness camps were organised for all TTD employees and senior officials. All staff posted in the Tirumala provided masks and sanitizers.
All vehicles passing through Alipiri checkpoint are sprayed with anti-infectious disinfectants.
Emergency Medical camps were set up at Alipiri Padala mandapam, Srivari Mettu walker’s path with thermal screening facility.
TTD has offered to all Rs.300 darshan online advance ticket holders an option to postpone to future dates or else refund if they cancel visits.
In order to completely avoid waiting period anywhere, TTD has cancelled Arjita Sevas like Vishesha puja, Sahasra Kalasabhisekam and Vasantotsavams.
TTD is making non-stop announcements and telecast on coronavirus awareness measures on SVBC channel and Radio and broadcasting services.
