Vaikasi visaga Car (Ther) festival

Importance of this Car Festival is that it has four car chariots. The first car is for Lord Vinayagar, the second Ther is meant for Lord Sengottuvelavar, the third Car is meant for Lord Arthanareeswara and the fourth Car is meant for Aadhikesava Perumal. Lakhs of devotees gather on this special day.

The crowd will be high on these festival days. Vaikasi Visaga Ther (Car) Festival will be celebrated in a grand manner.

Darshan Duration on the special days: 1 hour 30 mins to 2 hours 15 mins.

Dress Code: Any decent outfit.

Ticket cost: Free entry for all devotees.

Annadanam will be performed daily for 120 members at Malai Koil and for 60 members at Arulmigu Kailsanathar Temple.

Best Time to visit: Sep to May month. The crowd will be minimal during weekdays and might take 10 to 15 mins for Darshan. Karthigai Masam and Sivaratri festival days will be heavily crowded. Abhishegam and Archana will be performed daily.

Thanga Ther Ticket cost: Rs.1500. The devotee must remove Shirt and Vest while pulling the Ther. It is performed on all days expect on festival days.

Online Booking is not available for these Thanga Ther and Abhishegam Booking. Tickets can be purchased on arrival at the counter for the same day Pooja.
