Thirukadaiyur Temple 80th Marriage Procedure

At Thirukadaiyur, 14, 32, or 64 Kalasas will be set up during the 80th marriage puja. At this temple, Oru-Kaala and Rendu-Kaala pujas are performed daily. Legend has it that Lord Shiva both blessed his disciple Markandeya and brought Yama back to life. This puja can be performed even for singles. It is believed that this puja drives the couple towards spirituality. The puja duration will be 2 to 3 hours. Rendu-Kaala puja starts in the evening hours on the first day, and morning hours on the second day.
