The Stree Shapa Nivarana Pooja in Srisailam is performed daily. The puja lasts for 2-3 hours. Anyone can perform this puja regardless of their age. This puja removes Stree Shapa. An elder from the family should perform this puja. This dosha might be passed down from a previous birth or from one’s ancestors. Stree Shapa occurs when someone harms a woman. Instructions to be followed

Women can participate in this puja after the fifth day of their menstrual cycle.
If there is any death in the family, one should perform the puja after 3 months.
One should stop consuming non-veg food and alcohol for another 11 days after the puja.
Three days before the puja, one should abstain from alcohol and non-vegetarian foods.

Stree Shapa Nivarana Pooja in Srisailam

During this ritual, Stree Shapa Sankalpa, Stree Shapa Kala Sthapana puja, Ganapati puja, Prayaschita Thila homam, and purnahuthi will be performed. An astrologer can let you know the need for this puja. Performing this puja on an Amavasya day is advisable. A single person or a couple can perform this puja. This puja is performed on the banks of the river. One should take a head bath before and after the puja. It is advisable to fast while performing this puja.

The puja starts at 8 a.m. on normal days. On an Amavasya day, the puja starts at 7 a.m. During Pitru Paksha days, the puja starts as early as 6 a.m. We also perform Moksha Narayana Bali and Pitru Dosha Nivarana pujas at Srisailam.
