Our Sanskriti & Gyan Temples Pooja, Darshan, and Timings Sri Sukta Homam in Srisailam is performed daily. The puja lasts for about 3 hours. Anyone can perform this puja regardless of their age. It is advisable to perform this puja on Fridays. Two priests will perform this ritual. Sri Suktham references can be found in the Atharva Veda and in the Rigveda. The reference to Sri Suktham is found at the end of the Rigveda in Parisistabhanga.
These Sri Suktha mantras will be recited to invoke Goddess Maha Lakshmi through sacred fire. The word “Sri” means “Maha Lakshmi,” and “Suktham” means “well said. The Sri Suktam contains fifteen mantras. An astrologer can let you know the auspicious day for this ritual. Maha Lakshmi mantra japa is performed 120,000 times consecutively for 12 days. On the last day, the Homam is performed. All siddhis are attained. The homa, performed with Bilva fruit and leaves, is also described as attaining continuous prosperity.

Puja Dress Code
- Gents: dhoti (white) and upper cloth.
- Ladies: saree.
- Regardless of age, we kindly request that all devotees refrain from dressing in jeans and T-shirts.
Instructions to be followed
- Women can participate in this puja after the fifth day of their menstrual cycle.
- If there is any death in the family, one should perform the puja after 3 months.
- One should stop consuming non-veg and alcohol for another 11 days after the puja.
- Three days before the puja, one should abstain from alcohol and non-vegetarian foods.
Sri Sukta Homam Procedure in Srisailam
This puja is performed for Sri Maha Lakshmi Kataksham. Sri Sukta Homam is performed in the yagashala outside the Srisailam Temple. The puja starts at 8.30 a.m. A single person or a couple can perform this ritual. One should perform this ritual with utmost devotion and sincerity. Even parents can perform this ritual on behalf of their children. We supply the puja articles for this ritual. This is an individual puja. One should bring one kg of cow ghee for this ritual. Experienced priests perform this ritual.
