Shatru Samhara Homa in Gokarna is performed in a Yagashala outside the main temple. The puja duration is 2 to 3 hours. Anyone can perform this puja regardless of their age. This puja is intended to ward off threats from enemies and competitors. The word “Shatru Samhara” means “enemy destroyer.” You can perform this puja on any day, but Shasti days are preferable. Lord Subramanya, the commander-in-chief of Devas, will be invoked during this puja process. Shatru Samhara is a powerful Yagna, and performing this puja with devotion will yield the best results. It is advisable to fast while performing this homa. This puja is performed to seek victory in a legal battle.

We offer online puja services for those who are unable to attend in person. We courier the puja prasadam to their house address. A Brahman can perform this puja on your behalf. Typically, two to three pandits will be performing this ritual. A single person or a couple can perform this puja. At Gokarna Mahabaleshwar, this puja is performed outside the temple. Puja Dress Code

  • For gentlemen, the dress code includes a white dhoti and either a shirt or a kurta paired with pajamas.
  • Ladies: saree or salwar kameez.
  • Regardless of age group, we kindly request that all devotees refrain from wearing clothing such as T-shirts and jeans.

Puja Instructions To Devotees

  1. One should refrain from consuming non-vegetarian food for three days before the puja.
  2. A woman can perform this puja after the fifth day of her menstrual cycle.
  3. If there is a death in the family, you can perform this puja after six months.
  4. A Brahman can perform this puja on your behalf.

Shatru Samhara Homa Procedure in Gokarna

At Gokarna, we speak multiple languages, such as Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and English. This puja will be performed in your native language. Puja timings are 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. One should take a head bath before the puja. All your family members can participate in this puja.  It is advisable to carry an extra set of clothes, as Avabrutham will be performed in the end.
