Shani Homam in Srisailam is performed daily. The puja takes about 3-4 hours. Four to five priests will perform this ritual. This puja is performed outside the Srisailam temple in a yagashala. - If there is any death in the family, one should perform the puja after 3 months.
- One should stop consuming non-veg and alcohol for another 11 days after the puja.
- Three days before the puja, one should abstain from alcohol and non-vegetarian foods.

We perform this puja after 6 p.m. for those who are staying abroad. The Japa Sankhya may lengthen the duration of the puja. One should perform this puja with utmost devotion and sincerity.
