Sampath Vinayaka Temple History, Timings and Darshan Details

This temple was built in 1962 and is located in the premises of M/s. S.G. Sambandan & Co., Asilmetta. Sri T.S. Rajeswaran, Sri T.S. Selvaganesan and late Sri S.G. Sambandan contributed in building the temple for their own. At the initial days, fishermen used to pray before getting into their daily work. In the year 1967, Kanchi Peetadhipathi, Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati installed “Sri Ganapati Yantra” inside the temple. Admiral Krishnan who as in-charge of Eastern Naval,  broke 1001 coconuts in the temple premises when the Vizag was rescued from Pakistani Submarine Ghazni attack in 1971 December which sank off at Vizag coast.

Navaratri festival during Chaturthi will be celebrated in a grand.

Morning Hours: 6:00 am – 10:30 am

Evening Hours: 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Homam Timings: 7:00 am – 9:00 am

Abhisheka Timings: 7:00 am – 8:30 am

Abhishekam cost Rs.2500 during Ganapati Navaratri days.

Saswatha Abhishekam cost Rs.5000.

  1. Temple is easily reachable from Visakhapatnam bus station. Vizag is well connected with all parts of Andhra Pradesh.
