Sri Prasanna Tirupati Gangamamba Jatara Kuppam

Sri Prasanna Tirupati Gangamma Temple is 200 meters away from Kuppam Bus Station. Jatara will be celebrated in a grand style. lakhs of devotees participate in this mega event. There will be a procession on a vehicle with Gangamma Head, this procession goes around all streets of Kuppam town, which takes more than 20 hours. During this procession, live stock, hens, goats, sheep and cattle will be sacrificed in the streets.

This is a 8 day festival, which will be celebrated during the month of May. Festival starts with Abhishekam to Gangamma, followed by Chatimpu.

Chatimpu will be done a week in advance, this event will go after 12 am. Belief is that, no one should be there while the event is going on other temple staff.

Sixth day	7:15 am	Removing Eyes curtain for Sri Prasanna Muttumaremma. Agni Gundam Pravesam
7 pm	Pushpa Pallaki, Gariga, Nayyandi, Fireworks
Seventh day	7:15 am	Removing Eyes curtain for Sri Prasanna Muttumaremma Heads followed by Sirassu (Head’s) procession, fireworks
Eighth day	9 am – 11 pm	Removing complete curtain of Sri Prasanna Muttumaremma Head and Eyes, Viswaroopa Darshan
