Poovarasankuppam Temple History
As per the Legend, Lord Narasimha an incarnation of Lord Vishnu Killed the Demon King Hiranyakasyapa. Lord Narasimha’s anger didn’t subside even after killing the demon and started roaming in the forest and hills. Sapta Rishi did penance for the Lord on the banks of river South Penna in South India. It is the place where Lord appeared before them. This temple is of 1200 years old.
