Pitru Dosha Pooja in Rameshwaram is performed daily. Typically, three to four priests will be performing this puja. The puja duration depends on the Japa Sankhya. An astrologer can determine your Japa Sankhya based on your dosha. This puja is performed to appease the souls of departed ancestors. Anyone can perform this puja regardless of their age. Puja Dress Code
- Gents: dhoti (white) and upper cloth.
- Ladies: saree.
- Regardless of age group, we kindly request that all devotees refrain from wearing clothing such as T-shirts and jeans.
Instructions to be followed
- Women can participate in this puja after the fifth day of their menstrual cycle.
- If there is any death in the family, one should perform the puja after 3 months.
- One should stop consuming non-veg and alcohol for another 11 days after the puja.
- Three days before the puja, one should abstain from alcohol and non-vegetarian foods.

Moksha Narayanbali Pooja can be performed along with Thila Homam. We have not included Dasa Danam, which will be charged additionally. We speak Tamil, Telugu, English, Hindi, and Kannada. The puja will be performed in your native language. The Moksha Narayanbali Puja is performed if there is an unnatural death. One should discard clothes worn during the puja. The puja performed at Dhanushkodi will be charged additionally. The puja starts at 7 a.m. on normal days. On an Amavasya day, the puja starts by 6 a.m. During Pitru Paksha days, the puja starts at 5.30 a.m. The rush will be high on a Mahalaya Amavasya day, and the puja starts by 4 a.m. This ritual involves performing Preta Moksha, Thila Homam, Pinda Pradhan, and Moksha Narayanbali Puja. An elder from the family should perform this puja. An astrologer can inform you about the pitru dosha after examining your kundali. We perform Stree Shaap Dosha Nivarana along with Pitru Shaap at Rameswaram.
