Nagalapuram Surya Pooja
As per the folklore, Lord Vishnu had a long battle with Asuras during Matsya Avatar. Sunrays touch the deity to ease the pain which is called Surya Poojotsavam.
During this process, Sunrays pass thru the main Gopuram and touches the main deity inside the Sanctum Sanctorum, which is 630 mt away.
Day 1: During this time, Sunrays pass through the Sanctum Sanctorum and falls on the deities feet on the first day, navel
Day 2: Navel on the second day and
Day 3: crown on the third day.
