Mukthi Naga Temple History

This Idol was sculptured by the famous Sculptor in Kanchipuram, Padmashri Ganapathi Stapathi.  This seven hooded idol is a monolithic statue sculptured for 18 months by 15 sculptors under the guidance of Ganapati Sthapathi. It is said that this place was the land for a serpent deity for 200 years. This temple is 18 km from Bengaluru Bus station. The idol was installed in 2005 by Subramanya Sastry similar to Thanjavur Bruhadeswar Temple. As per the folklore, 25 ft long King Cobra used to live here for 200 years.
