Instructions to Devotees
- Only Hindu-arranged marriages are performed at Tirumala.
- Hindu Inter-caste arranged marriages are allowed.
- Love marriages are not allowed without parents acceptance.
- Inter-religion marriages are not allowed at Tirupati marriage halls.
- Parents/ guardians presence is mandatory for the wedding.
Marriage Halls Booking Procedure in Tirupati
- Both the bride and the groom must practice Hinduism.
- On the day of the marriage, the bridegroom must have been 21 years old and the bride must have turned 18.
- Before being married, the bride and groom must present their age certificates to the TTD authorities. These can be any combination of a birth certificate, school certificate, PAN card, passport, or driver’s license.
- The bride and bridegroom must present a certificate attesting to their residential address (an Aadhaar card or a residential certificate from the relevant tahsildar).
- The bride and groom’s parents have to be present when they get married. If one of the parents is deceased, the other must appear with their Aadhar card and the deceased parent’s death certificate. If both parents pass away, guardians may be allowed to attend, provided they properly present the parents’ death certificate and identity proof (Aadhar Card).
- Love marriage are not allowed in Tirumala.
- Group marriages may be performed on a given Muhurtham day, based on demand.
- Pilgrims can obtain a marriage certificate from the government registration office in Tirumala using the booking receipt.

Procedure for Kalyana Vedika Marriage
- Bride and Bridegroom must follow Hinduism.
- The bridegroom is 21 years old and the bride must have turned eighteen on the day of marriage.
Before marriage, certificates of the age of the bride and bridegroom must be submitted to the TTD Authorities (any one of the school Certificates/Birth Certificates/PAN cards/Passport/Driving license). - A certificate proving the Residential Address of the Bride and Bridegroom (Aadhaar Card or Residential Certificate acquired from the concerned Thasildar) needs to be submitted.
- The bride and Bride Groom parents have to be there at the marriage. If the Father or the mother has expired, the other must come with an Aadhar Card and the death certificate of a departed parent.
- Should both of the parents pass away, Guardians would be allowed, to duly provide the death certificate of the parents along with the Identity (Aadhar Card) proof.
- Second and love marriages are not allowed.
- Unmarried certificates derived from relevant authorities [MRO/Thasildhar] will be generated.
- Marriages might be conducted in groups depending on demand on a given Muhurtham day.
TTD will provide a darshan receipt following marriage at Kalyana Vedika. Six people are permitted Darshan free of cost through Special Entry Darshan (₹.300) “Q” line entry, Tirumala. Bride, bridegroom, and four other people (parents or guardians of the pair). - One Rs.50/-room will be given free of cost for twenty-four hours; payment on the second day will cover the extension. Another room will be paid for under availability.
- Pilgrims can obtain the marriage certificate from the Government registration office located at Tirumala by using the same receipt of darshan.
Marriage Halls charges in Tirupati
- SMC, TBC, and MBC hall cost varies from Rs. 500 to Rs. 600
- Devasthanam marriage halls are good for 30 to 120 members.
- Trust halls are also available for booking.
- Marriages are performed on all days in Tirumala as it is Nithya Kalyana Kshetra.
- Devotee should come with marriage date and muhurtham time.
