Mangala Gauri Pooja Vidhi Vidhana, Procedure, Benefits, and Timings

There is a legend associated with the Mangala Gauri fast. There was a very wealthy merchant by the name of Dharampal who had a very attractive wife. They were unhappy and childless when they finally gave birth to a boy, sixteen years old, who was going to die from a snake bite. He married a girl, the mother of whom performed this vrat, before becoming sixteen. She was therefore blessed to have a daughter who would never experience widowhood. As a result, the boy she married lived to be a hundred years old. Because of this tale, it is thought that all newlywed women should keep this fast to have a happy life with their spouses.

The Mangal Gauri Yajna and Puja are meant for those who intend to tie the knot.
