This wildlife sanctuary stretches over an area of 464.42 Sq. Km. This sanctuary houses herbivorous and Carnivorous wild animals such as Panther, spotted Deer, sloth bear, Cheetal, Sambar, Chinkara, Wild Boar, Monkey, Wild dogs etc. This sanctuary houses rare and endangered bird Jerdon’s Courser. It falls on Kadapa – Badvel route. This bird was discovered by the surgeon and naturalist Thomas C. Jerdon in 1848. This bird is a restricted-range endemic found in the Eastern Ghats of Andhra Pradesh.
