This Tiger Reserve spreads over 2051 Sq Km. The core reserve area is 917 Sq Km. This forest is majorly occupied with Sal Trees.

This park is inhabited by the Chital Deer, Wild Boar, Jackal, Wild Dog, Tiger, Hard ground Barasingha, Leopard, Dhole, Bear, Gaur, Sambar, Langur, Indian Bison, Barking Deer, Sloth bear .etc

Jeep Safari and Elephant Safari are available. In Kanha, Tiger population is estimated around 100.

Jeep Safari is available in Morning and Evening Hours. Limited Gypsy Vehicles allowed inside Park.

Best Time: Early hours and Evening hours for Tiger Sightings.
