Jag Mandir Udaipur History, Timings, Entry fees, Route info
It is said that Shah Jahan stayed here as a refugee along with his wife Mumtaz Mahal before becoming an Emperor. Maharana Karan Singh of Mewar Kingdom offered the stay. In 1857, European families stayed here in Jag Mandir during the First War of Independence.
This building was named after Maharana Jagat Singh who contributed to building Gul Mahal and other additions. This palace was built using Yellow Sandstone and Marble.
