Gokarna Narayan Bali Pooja Timings, Cost, Procedure, and Online Booking

The primary deity of the Gokarna temple is Lord Shiva, also referred to as Mahabaleshwar.
Southern Varanasi and Bhookailasa are the names of this sacred location.
The meaning of Gokarna is cow’s ear. Here is where it is said that Lord Shiva appeared out of the ear of a cow (Prithvi, Mother Earth). It is situated where the Gangavali and Aghanashini rivers meet in the shape of an ear. Gokarna thus acquired spiritual importance on a global scale.

Pooja duration: 1 day

Six priests will perform the pooja.

Dress Code: Men to wear Dhoti and remove Shirt and Vest during this Pooja.

When to perform Gokarna Narayan Bali Pooja?

This pooja will be performed for unusual deaths such as by fasting or by animals, accidents, arson, unusual disease, suicide, falling from a height, and death by muggers. In these cases, the departed will not attain Moksha, as it is an unnatural death. Narayan Bali Pooja is performed to overcome these cases. It was mentioned in the Garuda Purana about unnatural deaths. This pooja is performed from the father’s side only. Ladies can’t perform this pooja; in such cases, a priest will perform the pooja.
