Devuni Kadapa History

Devuni Kadapa, also called Tholi-Gadapa, which means first step to Lord Venkateswara Swamy Darshan. Devuni Kadapa is located on the Kadapa highway. From the scripts, it is known that the Kripacharya constructed this idol. There are references to Devuni Kadapa in “Kripavathi Kshetram.”

This temple was built during the reign of the Vijayanagara dynasty. Hence, the architectural style reflects the same. Lord Hanuman can be seen here in reverse, which is unique. Another interesting thing to watch is the artistic creations of the dancing deity Ganapathi at Mukha mandapam.

Rush will be high during weekends, and darshan might take 20 to 25 minutes. It usually takes 5 to 10 minutes during the week. The rush will be high on festival days. The temple remains open on all days, and this temple is maintained by the TTD.

Devuni Kadapa Brahmotsavam 2025

  • With Ankurarpanam on January 28, annual Brahmotsavams are scheduled from January 29 to February 06 at Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy temple in Devuni Kadapa of Kadapa District.
  • Starting on January 29 at 9.30 am with Dhwajarohanam, the Brahmotsavam
  • Garuda Vahanam falls on February 2, Rathotsavam and Dhooli Utsavam on February 4, Vasanthotsavam, Chakra Snanam, and Dhwajavarohanam on February 6.
  • Kalyanotsavam will take place on February 3 at 10 am; Grihastas, two people, can join in by paying Rs. 300/-.
  • February 7 at 6 pm will be Pushpayagam. For this celestial celebration, devotees could bring flowers.
  • This time, daily Harikathas and Bhakti Sangeet spiritual programs will be coordinated by TTD Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad and Annamacharya Projects
