Devanathaswamy temple marriage registration, Booking Procedure, and Hall cost

Devanathaswamy temple (Thiruvanthipuram Kovil) in Thiruvanthipuram, near Cuddalore. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and was built in the Dravidian style. It is one of the 108 Divyadesam dedicated to Vishnu.

Devanathaswamy temple marriage registration

  1. The Bride must be 18 years and above
  2. The Groom must be 21 years and above
  3. Only Hindu arranged marriages are allowed at this temple
  4. One has to collect the marriage form from the temple office in person.
  5. The bride or Groom or the bride’s/groom’s father or Mother can collect the marriage form.
  6. Aadhar Card photocopy has to be submitted while collecting the marriage form
  7. Marriage is allowed within the same community.
  8. Intercaste and interreligious marriages are not allowed at the temple.
  9. Bride and Groom’s Aadhar Cards photocopies
  10. Bride’s parents’ and groom’s parents’ Aadhar Cards photocopies
  11. The bride’s and Groom’s School mark list or TC photocopy is required
  12. TN residents can apply for an Unmarried certificate in the TNesevai portal
  13. Both the bride and Groom have to submit an Unmarried certificate
  14. It usually takes 10 to 15 days to issue the unmarried certificate
  15. The bride’s and Groom’s community certificate photocopy is required
  16. Anyone (Bride or Groom or bride’s father or bride’s mother or groom’s father or groom’s mother) can submit the above-mentioned documents at the temple office for the registration
  17. The marriage registration form will be issued from the 60th day (to the marriage date) onwards.
  18. Marriage booking is allowed from the 30th day onwards (to the marriage date).

It is advisable to book 2 months in advance, as enrollment is limited

Marriage Registration Procedure

  1. A receipt will be issued by the temple authority stating the marriage details
  2. Online marriage registration is only available for Tamil Nadu residents.
  3. Wedding Invitation Card
  4. Bride and Groom’s Aadhar Cards photocopies
  5. Bride’s parents’ and groom’s parents’ Aadhar Cards photocopies
  6. Bride’s and Groom’s School mark list or TC photocopy

Please note that the marriage enrollment fee is for the marriage permission only.
