This national park is located in the foothills of Himalayas. It is India’s first national park. This park spreads across 500 Sq. Km of the area with dense forest. In this 1936, this area was declared as the National Park near Ramnagar. In the year 1956 – 57, it was renamed as Corbett National Park. This park was established to protect endangered Bengal Tigers and recorded 160 tigers. Elephant ride is available for the tourists. This park is inhabited with Spotted Deer, Sambar, Hop Deer, Long Snouted Gharial, Elephant, Jackal, etc. There are around 580 species of birds which includes waterfowl, woodpeckers, raptors and many other migrating birds.

180 vehicles are allowed to enter the park in a day. This count includes morning and afternoon safari. 60 Vehicles are allowed for Bijrani, 60 for Jhirna Zone and 15 vehicles are allowed for Dhela & Durgadevi zones.
