Banasura Hill is of 2073 mt in height and is part of the western ghats. This place is can be reached from Kuttiady to Mananthavady highway.
It takes 3 hours to reach the hill top by walk. The view room from there is spectacular. Special Permission required for trekking from the North Wayanad Forest Divison office at Mananthavady.Banasura Dam which is the largest earth dam in India is located at the foot of the hills. Naturally formed islands in the dam attract tourists and provide a spectacular view. There is another entry available for trekking from this Dam.
