We will perform Ashlesha Bali Pooja in Srisailam outside the temple in a Yagashala. The puja duration is 3 to 4 hours. We will set up Sarpa Mandalam during this puja process. Each person performs this puja independently. A single person or a couple can perform this puja. Anyone can perform this puja regardless of their age. The purpose of this puja is to eliminate Sarpa Dosha. It is advisable to perform this puja on an Ashlesha star day for the best results. This puja is advisable for those who are suffering from Kala Sarpa Dosha. For a complete remedy, it is advisable to perform Sarpa Samskara along with Naga Pratishta. Usually, 2-3 pandits will perform this puja. There is no Samuhika or group puja performed at the Srisailam Temple. One should perform this puja with utmost devotion. This puja can be performed on any day.
Puja Dress Code
- Gents: dhoti (white) and shirt or kurta and pajama.
- Ladies: saree or salwar kameez.
- Regardless of age group, we kindly request that all devotees refrain from wearing clothing such as T-shirts and jeans.
Instructions to be followed
- Women can perform this puja after the fifth day of their menstrual cycle.
- If there is any death in the family, one should perform the puja after the 11th-month rituals.
- One should stop consuming non-veg and alcohol for another 41 days after the puja.
- One should stop consuming non-veg and alcohol three days before the puja.
