A thousand cows donated might have the same positive outcome as donating one cow. Giving a kapila cow or kapilagovu to charity can save 7 generations. The sastras say that if we give a cow in charity, our ancestors will be able to cross over the terrible Vaitharani Lake.

“Go bhu tila hiranyajya vaso dhanyagudani cha
Raupyam lavanamityahuh dasadanah prakirtitah.
“

The calf must be given to charity along with the cow. When giving a cow to charity, it is important to ensure that the calf drinking and the cow giving milk do not face each other. To summarize, the giver of a cow to charity and the taker must see each other face-to-face. The ability to bring joy both here on Earth and in the hereafter is the gift of a cow. Blessed is the giver, and his ancestors will live on the sacred other planets. Therefore, kindness to cows is better than any other kind of charity.
