Our Sanskriti & Gyan Temples Pooja, Darshan, and Timings Sahasrachandra darshan pooja in Srisailam is performed daily. The puja lasts for about 4 hours. When a husband or wife reaches the age of 70, they perform this puja. The word “Sahasra” means “thousand,” and “darshana” means “witnessing.” This ritual will be organized by relatives or friends. Anyone can perform this ritual, even if they are single. It is not mandatory to be married to participate in this ritual. Even a widower can perform this ritual. This puja can be performed even by a single woman. One should take a head bath before the ritual. This ritual is an individual puja.
We offer online puja services for those who are unable to attend. This puja is performed to remove doshas after reaching the 70th year. The puja starts at 8 a.m. Two to three priests will perform this ritual. Sahasrachandra Darshan, also known as Bhimaratha Shanti, is performed on your birth star day. An astrologer can let you know the auspicious day for this ritual. The puja duration depends on the number of kalasas. A simple puja might take 3 to 4 hours. Puja Dress Code
- Gents: dhoti (white) and upper cloth.
- Ladies: saree.
- Regardless of age, we kindly request that all devotees refrain from dressing in jeans and T-shirts.
Instructions to be followed
- Women can participate in this puja after the fifth day of their menstrual cycle.
- One should stop consuming non-veg and alcohol for another 11 days after the puja.
- Three days before the puja, one should abstain from alcohol and non-vegetarian foods.
Sahasrachandra Darshan Pooja in Srisailam
Sahasrachandra Darshan Pooja is performed for your family. We don’t perform group pujas. If you are unable to attend, we can perform this puja on your behalf. The prasad will be couriered to you. One should reach Srisailam one day before. Only a couple can participate in this puja. It is not necessary to have friends or family present for this ritual. We perform Avabrutha Snana at the end. Please carry an additional dress for this ritual. We will supply the puja articles for this ritual. Since the puja takes a long time, please eat breakfast. We can suggest an auspicious day for this ritual after we check the birth kundali. In Srisailam, we speak Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, and English. The puja will be performed in your native language.
