Our Sanskriti & Gyan Temples Pooja, Darshan, and Timings Navagraha Shanti Pooja in Srisailam is performed daily. The puja lasts for 3-4 hours. Anyone can perform this puja regardless of their age. Four to five priests will perform this ritual. This puja is performed to minimize the negative effects of the Navagrahas. Even newborn babies can perform this puja. You can perform this puja on any day. One should take a head bath before the puja. Even parents can perform this ritual on behalf of their children. The whole family can participate in this puja. This puja is performed individually. We don’t perform group pujas. A single person or a couple can perform this puja. After this puja, you don’t have to discard the clothes worn during the ritual. We perform Prokshana at the end of the ritual.
We offer online puja services for those who are unable to attend. The puja will be livestreamed through the video call. An astrologer can let you know the auspicious day for this ritual. During this ritual, five priests will recite mantras for each graha. A 1008-count Japa Sankhya will be performed for each graha, followed by the homam. For a specific Japa Sankhya, please let us know in advance. We also perform Japa Sankhya for each graha separately if required. We supply all puja articles for this ritual. A Brahman can perform this ritual on your behalf if required. This Shanti puja will minimize the negative effects of the Papa Graha. Outside the Srisailam temple, this puja takes place in a yagashala.
Puja Dress Code
- Gents: dhoti (white) and upper cloth.
- Ladies: saree.
- We respectfully ask all devotees, regardless of age, to avoid wearing T-shirts and jeans.
Instructions to be followed
- Women can participate in this puja after the fifth day of their menstrual cycle.
- If there is any death in the family, one should perform the puja after 3 months.
- One should stop consuming non-veg and alcohol for another 11 days after the puja.
- Three days before the puja, one should abstain from alcohol and non-vegetarian foods.
Navagraha Shanti Pooja Procedure in Srisailam
In Srisailam, this puja is performed daily. It is advisable to perform this puja on Panchami, Shasti, Dasmi, Dwadasi, and Purnima. A paripoorna Navagraha Shanti pooja may take 5 to 6 days to complete. You can complete this easy Navagraha Shanti pooja in a single day. The Japa Sankhya determines the cost of the puja. It is advisable to perform this puja once a year for the best results. While maintaining the auspicious Graha positions, this puja lessens the negative effects of the Papa Graha. Those who intend to do this puja should arrive in Srisailam one day in advance.
We arrange comfortable seating for the elderly and patients. The puja starts at 8.00 a.m. Even the elderly can perform this puja comfortably. The Yagashala reservation should be done before the puja.
