Kaal Sarp Dosh Puja in Prayagraj is performed daily. The puja duration is three to four hours. Anyone can perform this puja. This puja is performed to remove Kaal Sarp Dosh. Typically, two to three pandits will be performing this ritual. Kaal Sarp Dosh can be inherited from the previous birth. This Dosh could happen if someone intentionally or unintentionally hurts a snake. This puja removes the dosha acquired from the previous and current births. When a snake is killed, its eggs are destroyed, its habitat, like an anthill, is damaged, or its pathway is destroyed. All these might cause Kaal Sarp Dosh.
A Kaal Sarp Dosh occurs in a person’s Kundali when all the planets are positioned between Rahu and Ketu. There are twelve types of Kaal Sarp Yog, which depend on the Rahu and Ketu planetary positions. Anantha, Kulika, Vasuki, Shankuphala, Padma, Mahapadma, Takshaka, Karkotaka, Shanchachud, Ghatak, Vishdhana, and Sesh-naga Kaal Sarp Yog.
