Pitru Shanti Pooja in Srirangapatna is performed at Sangama. The puja duration depends on the Thila Homa Japa Sankhya. Typically, three to four pandits will be performing the rituals. Anyone who has Pitru Dosha in their Kundali can perform this puja. This puja is performed to appease ancestors who reside in the Pitru Loka. Not everyone in the family will be affected by the Pitru Dosha. An astrologer can let you know the dosha severity. The Thila Homa count will be suggested by the astrologer. Anyone can perform this puja regardless of their dosha. Ancestors who reside in the Pitru Loka bless their clan for good fortune. Any deviation in performing timely rituals will anger Pitrus. It is advisable to perform this puja once a year for prosperity and family well-being. Anyone can perform this puja regardless of their age. Even the youngest from the family can perform this puja.

The person who would like to perform this puja should perform Sankalpa over the video call. A Brahman will take the authority and perform the rituals. You can perform this puja on any day. Puja Dress Code

  • For gentlemen, the dress code includes a white dhoti and either a shirt or a kurta paired with pajamas.
  • Ladies: saree or salwar kameez.
  • Regardless of age group, we kindly request that all devotees refrain from wearing clothing such as T-shirts and jeans.

Puja Instructions To Devotees

  1. One should refrain from consuming non-vegetarian food for three days before the puja.
  2. A woman can perform this puja after the fifth day of her menstrual cycle.
  3. If there is a death in the family, you can perform this puja after six months.
  4. A Brahman can perform this puja on your behalf.

Pitru Shanti Pooja in Srirangapatna

Pitru Shanti Pooja will be performed daily at Sangama. An additional cost of Rs. 200 has to be paid to the municipality. We provide all puja articles required for the puja. One should discard clothes after the puja. It is advisable to carry an extra set of clothes. Those who would like to perform this puja should be in Srirangapatna by 7 a.m. The puja starts at 8 a.m. and will last 3 hours. It is advisable to fast while performing this puja. One should take a head bath before and after the puja. After the puja, please perform Vastra Dana to the pandits. Any puja will be fulfilled with a donation at the end.
