Our Sanskriti & Gyan Temples Pooja, Darshan, and Timings The puja at Bhima Ratha Shanthi Temple in Chennai is performed outside the main temple. The puja duration is 3 to 4 hours. This puja is performed to celebrate the 70th birthday. Usually, family members or relatives organize this event. This puja is believed to drive the couple towards spiritual growth. This puja should be performed on your birth star day. Outside the temple, in a Yagashala, this puja is conducted. This puja removes Apamrityu Dosha. This puja blesses the couple with excellent health. This puja should be performed to mark 69 years’ completion. Oru-Kala and Rendu-Kala puja can be performed.
During this puja process, water in the Kalasa will be poured on the couple. It is advisable to carry an extra set of clothes for this puja. This puja is performed in a mandap located in the temple premises or outside. It depends on the puja. An astrologer can let you know the auspicious date for this puja.
Puja Dress Code
- For gentlemen, the dress code includes a white dhoti and either a shirt or a kurta paired with pajamas.
- Ladies: saree or salwar kameez.
- Regardless of age group, we kindly request that all devotees refrain from wearing clothing such as T-shirts and jeans.
Puja Instructions To Devotees
- One should refrain from consuming non-vegetarian food for three days before the puja.
- If there is any death in the family, then this puja can be performed after six months.
Bhima Ratha Shanthi Temple in Chennai
The temple’s experienced priests will perform Bhima Ratha Shanti. This puja starts at 7 a.m. and takes 4 to 5 hours. This puja will be performed individually. There is no group for this puja. All puja articles will be provided at this location. We advise planning this puja on any day, apart from Pitru Paksha days. The couple will be bathed in the holy water at the end. This puja is performed to mark the achievement of fulfilling responsibilities. Auspicious days are Panchami, Sapthami, Dasami, Dwadasi, and Purnima. Auspicious months are Shravan, Karthika, and other auspicious months. Mangalya Dharana is optional during this puja process.
