In Tirumala, marriage function halls are available for simple and lavish weddings. Marriage halls are of different sizes. A simple wedding hall can accommodate 20 to 40 guests. A large hall can accommodate 500 guests. Function halls in Tirumala are equipped with parking spaces, a separate dining hall, and an elevator. Rooms are available right at the mandapam. A small wedding hall will have 8 to 10 rooms. For a large wedding hall, 50–70 rooms are available at the mandapam itself. A wedding hall can be booked for two days if required. In Tirumala, it is standard allotment timings for function halls, i.e., 3 p.m. to 3 p.m. (next day). Room allotment for the marriage and other pujas will be allotted following standard allotment timings. Kitchen space is available for cooking at each mandapam.
It is believed that getting married in Tirumala, the Bhooloka Vaikuntam, will bless the couple with good fortune. It is also said that getting married at Tirumala will remove any dosha associated with Mangalyam. Mangalya Dosham will be removed, and the relationship will stay stronger. Marriages are not performed inside the temple. It is only the deities’ puja and sevas that will be performed in the temple. Marriages should be performed at the designated places in Tirumala. In and around the Tirumala temple, marriages are not allowed. Marriage halls in Tirumala can also be booked for Shastipoorthi, Satyanarayana Vratham, Upanayanam, and other pujas.
Couples planning their wedding at Tirumala should make arrangements well in advance. Halls and rooms should be booked in advance. Some function halls allow booking for the next calendar year. Hall rent and room charges have to be paid in full at the time of booking. The amount paid will be a donation towards the trust. Any change in the schedule will be subject to trust rules and regulations.
Marriage Function Halls Booking Procedure in Tirumala
- The bride should be 18 years and above.
- The groom should be 21 years and above.
- Child marriages are not allowed.
- Both the bride’s and groom’s Aadhar cards will be verified before confirming the allotment.
- The bride and groom should be Hindus.
- Only Hindu-arranged marriages are allowed in Tirumala.
- Inter-caste arranged marriages are allowed.
- Interreligious marriages are not permitted.
- Love marriages without parents’ acceptance will not be allowed.
- Marriages will only be performed if the parents from both sides accept the wedding.
- Guardians can perform the wedding after submitting valid documents.
- Both the bride and groom have to submit their Aadhar card photocopies.
- The bride and groom have to submit their age proof documents, such as birth certificates, 10th mark sheets, or school transfer certificate photocopies.
- The bride’s parents’ and groom’s parents’ Aadhar card photocopies are required.
- NRIs or foreigners can also get married at Tirumala.
- NRIs, or foreigners, have to submit their passport photocopies.
- They must provide a document that states their Hindu identity.

Marriage Registration Certificate Process
- In Tirumala, the marriage registration office is located at Kalyana Vedika.
- The newlywed couple has to provide Aadhar card or passport photocopies.
- The newlywed couple has to provide their birth certificate or 10th mark sheet photocopies.
- A wedding invitation card is required.
- Three wedding photos have to be submitted.
- Any three witnesses, along with their Aadhar card photocopies, are required.
- The marriage receipt from the function hall is required.
- The marriage certificate will be issued on the same day.
- The newlywed couple can collect the certificate before leaving Tirumala.
- The marriage registration office will be operating on all days except Tuesdays.
