Ammapalli Temple History
It was built in the 11th century, when the Vengi Chalukyas were in power. This amazing building was spread out over 250 acres of land. The seven-story Gali Gopuram is 90 feet tall. Pictures of Lord Vishnu, Rama, and Dasavathara are written on this gopuram. On the south and east sides of the temple, there are two large temple tanks. The idol in this temple is a single stone and is dedicated to Lord Rama, Sita, and Lakshmana. People say that Lord Rama and Lakshmana came to this spot a long time before they met Hanuma. Because of this, the Garbha Gruha does not have a Hanuman idol. The Lord Rama idol is 4 feet tall.
