Thirukadaiyur Shastipoorthi Pooja Complete Procedure

Thirukadaiyur is known for the 60th, 70th, 80th, 90th, and 100th marriage pujas. This puja is performed daily. It is advisable to perform this puja on your birth star day. One should perform this puja with utmost devotion and sincerity. Typically, family members and relatives plan this puja. The couple would have fulfilled his responsibilities, and now it is time to celebrate as a token of gratitude.

According to the legend, Lord Shiva killed Yama, the god of death, when he attempted to take Markandeya’s life. The idol still bears the mark of Yama’s whip. Lord Shiva blessed Markandeya with a full life and also revived Yama.

Shastipoorthi, or Shastiapthapoorthi, is performed daily at this temple. It is advisable to perform this puja on your birth star. An astrologer can let you know the auspicious day for the puja. Even singles or unmarried individuals can perform this puja. At this temple, Oru-Kaala and Rendu-Kaala pujas are performed.
