Kartheeka Masa Garuda Seva

The Pournami Kartheeka Masa Garuda Seva performed in Tirumala on Thursday evening i.e Oct 6, following the advent of Pournami.

Garuda, the king of birds, is the favorite vehicle of Lord Sri Venkateswara, an avatar of Lord Vishnu. The image of Garuda is also seen on the divine flag of God. Garuda functions as a servant, friend, life supporter, insignia, and flag of lord Venkateswara’s vehicle. Garuda is the most respected and most sought after follower of Lord Vishnu and the only one described in puranas as one who could flight at the speed of light.

This event has gathered huge reception among the devotees and pilgrims, as tens of thousands of pilgrims converge to witness the procession of Lord Malayappa Swamy in the four-mada streets during every Pournami.
