Srinivasa Mangapuram Pavitra Samarpana As part of Pavitrotsavams

On the second day of the ongoing three-day annual Pavithrotsavams of Lord Venkateswara on Sunday, the priests ceremoniously carried out the auspicious ritual of Pavitra Samarpana at Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple at Srinivasa Mangapuram near Tirupati on Monday.

Between 9am to 10.30am Snapana Tirumanjanam has been performed to the deities.Later the colourful silken holy threads – Pavitra Malas were taken a procession and then decorated to the presiding deity Lord Venkatesawara. The Pavithralu (silk garlands) as the name denotes woven out of a special variety of high quality cotton and exclusively grown in a land meant to grow the sacred Tulasi plants was adorned to various deities in the sanctum sanctorum as well as to those at all the sub-temples inside the main temple complex. They were later adorned to Dhruvamurthies, Kautukamurthies, Snapanamurthies, Balimurthies, Dwarapalakas, Visvaksena, Bhasyakarulu, Garudalwar, Homagundams, Balipeetham, Dhwajasthambham and Anjaneya Swamy in fornt of the temple.

Later in the evening Tiruveedhi Utsavam was conducted between 5.00pm to 6.00pm followed by Sattumora at Bhasyakarla gudi.
