Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple
This temple received a huge contribution from Tirumalai Nayak during 1623 AD – 1659 AD. Kilikootu Mantap was built in 1227 A.D.
Five Gopuram of this temple ranges from 147 ft to 170 ft high. Southern Gopuram is the tallest which is 170 ft high. Thousand Pillar Hall inside the temple was built in 1569 AD by Ariyanatha Mudaliar.
