Sri Kumaradhara Punya Theertham Mythology

An old Brahmin once came to Venkatachala to end his life. He shouted for Srivaru and other gods and told them how bad it was. Srivaru showed up in front of him as a prince and told him, “Stop!” Don’t jump off the Hill. Do not kill yourself. God made this body so that we can serve Him. According to Sastra, killing oneself is a very bad thing to do. How much do you know about the Sastra?”
The old man gave up his plan. Swamy took him to a Teertha and instructed him to take a bath.
The old man soon became young and rich. A very old Brahmin bathed in Kumaradhara, the name of the stream. Markandeya Purana tells the story.

Sri Tumburu Punya Theertham Mythology

In the past, Tarigonda Vengamamba is said to have done penance here for a long time. Ghona is Tumbura Teertha’s first name. Gandharwa was Tumbura. King Barhi was known for helping people. King Barhi’s kindness affected Tumbura, and he praised his bravery and kindness. In return, Barhi gave Tumbura a veena that was set with gems.
Tumbura had met Narada with the veena. Narada cursed him and went insane. “Unfortunately! Our purpose here is to honor Lord Venkateswara. By praising people with your mouth, you have done a lot of bad things. You were born on earth to take the punishment for your sins. God Vishnu will make you a Gandharwa again.”
Tumbura came down to earth and did very hard punishment. He said, “Tumbura!” Bodhisattvas like Brahma will only come to bathe during Phalguna masa. You, too, dip in this lake, along with other gods and goddesses.
As soon as Tumbura took the bath that Srivaru told him to, he changed into Gandharwa and gained the ability to fly. In the Tretayuga era, this Tumbura was born as a rakshasa “viradha.” Sri Rama killed him, which saved him. In Dwaparayuga, Tumbura came back to life as Sanjaya. Dhrutarastra heard about the events of the Mahabharata war from Sanjaya. Sri Krishna taught the Bhagavadgita to us through Sanjaya. Mythology tells us about Sri MahaVishnu’s great tricks that people still laugh about today.

Tirumala Pushkarini Theertha Mukkoti

Along with these tirthas, the holy waters of Mahateertham, “Pushkarini,” are always mixing with them. The holy Pushkarini, which is to the northeast of Srivari temple, is very holy. Sages say that the streams of all the rivers come together once every twelve years. Some stories about this place say that the water from all the rivers touches Swamy Pushkarini all the time. Because it was so good, it was called Swamy Pushkarini. For Swamy, Seshadri became Kridadri, and Pushkarini became a place to bathe. Garutmantha brought both Seshadri and Pushkarini to earth, according to the Kshetra Mahatmyam. Many sad people, patients, saints, sages, and gods are said to have taken a bath in this Pushkarini and been forgiven of all their sins by Venkateswara.

Instructions to devotees

1. Entry Point: Papavinasanam
2. T.T.D. will provide food and water.
3. Devotees are allowed at the early hours from the entrance.
4. In the morning, a direct bus leaves the Tirumala bus station for Papavinasanam. It is better to carry water bottles and not leave plastic waste in the forest.
5. It is advisable not to plan with children, as trekking takes long hours and the path is not smooth.
