Thila Homam at Rameswaram is performed on all days. The puja lasts 4 to 5 hours. People should perform this puja while fasting, but those on medication can have a liquid diet. They should also take a head bath before and after the puja. We perform this homam to eliminate the effects of Pitru Dosha. We have provided the pooja calendar for your reference. We perform this puja with sesame seeds, known as thila. This pooja involves the performance of Pinda Pradhan, Shraddh, and Pitru Dosha.
