With the advent of the solar eclipse on Wednesday, the doors of Tirumala shrine will be closed for Thirteen hours prior to Grahanam as per traditional practice at 11:00 pm on Wednesday i.e 25th Dec.
The temple doors will be closed until 12:00 pm and will be reopened after performing Sudhi, Punyahavachanam and other purification rituals. Meanwhile, the Grahanam will be observed between 8:08 am to 11:16 am on 26th Dec. However, the temple doors remain closed during the solar eclipse as per age-old tradition.

Grahanam Timings: 8:08 am – 11:16 am on 26th Dec
Temple Closed Timings: 11:00 pm on 25th Dec – 12:00 pm on 26th Dec
Sarva Darshan Not available from 11 pm 25th Dec – 2 pm 26th Dec.
On 25th Dec, Rs,300 Tickets slot 10:00 am – 2:00 pm will not be available. Darshan will resume on 26th Dec after 2:00 pm.
All Arjitha Sevas, Supadam Darshan, Rs.300, Privileged Darshan, Divya darshan, Sarva Darshan will be cancelled.

Will the Sri Padmavathi Ammavari temple, Tiruchanoor temple also be closed for the surya grahanam on 8th & 9th March. Could you please confirm the timings of the temple during this time.

Yes, all temples in Tirupati will be closed on 9th Mar till afternoon. Temple will be closed only in the evening hours on 8th Mar .

I had planned to visit tirupati at 17 sept 16. But on that night it was chandra grahanam (22.24 to 2.30 in night) so how will be the timing for darsanam.which slot is preferable??

If lunar eclipse on the night of special darshan but it shows slot open for whole day.is it by mistaken or lately they will cancel slot which I had already booked for same day? ?my tickets are confirmed for special entry at 16 sept 2016.for 17.00. I don’t want to come back without darshan. Please help

It is an old post. Please don’t go with this post. During Grahan timings, TTD will not release tickets for online booking. if tickets available means Darshan will be available.

TTD will not issue tickets during Chandragrahanam timings. if tickets are issued means it is after chandra Grahanam only. So you are good to go for Darshan
