Shanta Durga Temple History, Timings, Darshan and Pooja details
As per the Legend, Lord Brahma requested Goddess Durga to intervene Lord Vishnu and Siva’s Battle. Goddess in the form of Shanta Dura pacified both.

This temple was built in Indo-Portuguese architecture. The annual festival is celebrated in the month of Dec. During Jatara, the idol will be taken out in a procession on a Car. Hundreds of devotees pull the Car in the temple streets.
Temple is heavily crowded on Panchami day. The major festivals at this temple are Lalkhi Utsav, Muktabharani Utsav, Tulsi Vivah and Kala Utsav.
