Sarpa Samskara Pooja in Srikalahasti
People perform this puja for two days. The puja removes any Sarpa dosha acquired by killing a snake knowingly or unknowingly. If this dosha remains unresolved, it will negatively affect the family members. Anyone removing or obstructing the snake’s routine path will suffer from sarpa dosha. Destroying a snake’s eggs or holding a snake in captivity will have sarpa dosha. Anyone who removes an anthill or destroys a snake’s living place will suffer from the Sarpa dosha as well. The Sarpa Samskara will eliminate all these doshas. After killing a snake, one must perform the rituals correctly; if not, the sin will affect the lineage. One should perform this puja on an Ashlesha star day, Naga Panchami, Nagula Chavithi, or other auspicious days for effective results.
